F.N. Souza represented women in his art as a protagonist. His work represents women in the centre stage along with her relationship with herself, men and society.
Jugneeta’s presentation talks about F.N. Souza’s representation of femininity through his practice. It also talks about how F.N. Souza redefined the way in which women were represented in art: from obsessively obscene to making them sing. Jugneeta believes Souza’s representation of the female form depicts his artistic vision of social structures. Her presentation comprehends Souza’s vision of women in society.
