Pantaleão Fernandes is a Goan author and Photographer will be showing us how the traditional Goan professions are dying due to modernism. He will also allow you to witness some locals demonstrating their work to you at the venue while he speaks about it.
Pantaleão is a Goa-based writer, photographer and ethnographer. Being very passionate about Goa and her vibrant culture, he spends most of his time exploring villages in deep hinterlands to experience firsthand the warm spirit of the villagers.

These excursions brought about his earlier books, “100 Goan Experiences”, “Goa Remembered”, a children’s book “Once Upon a Time in Goa” and “Traditional Occupations of Goa” is a rich documentation of the ancient crafts of Goa – a part of her rich intelligible culture and heritage. Pantaleao’s latest book is the ‘Rare Portraits’.

This session is open to all at a minimal entry charge of INR: 50/- open to students (with a student ID) and to schools. We are inviting schools to participate as the younger generation needs to know about it.
