Evening of Talk and Presentation by Orijit Sen & Seth Tobocman


Orijit Sen is an artist and graphic designer based in New Delhi, India. He studied at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, and has been involved in graphic, textile, exhibition and museum design projects since 1989. His pioneering work “River of Stories” (Kalpavriksh 1994) is considered by many to be India’s first true graphic novel. Internationally, his comics and graphic art have been published and exhibited in exhibits and collections in Switzerland, Japan, South Africa and Canada.

Seth Tobocman is a comic book artist with strong political convictions. In 1979 he founded the magazine World War 3 Illustrated with Peter Kuper and he continues to edit that publication today. His images have been used as posters, banners, murals, patches and tattoos by people’s movements all over the world from The Squatters in New York’s Lower East Side to the African National Congress in South Africa.
